Itinerary and highlights
Your day begins with a morning pick-up from Arusha, Moshi or Kilimanjaro Airport, followed by a scenic drive towards the Last village before Kilimanjaro National park.
Once we arrive, we’ll meet our local guide and begin a short village walk. The trail takes us through lush vegetation, banana and coffee farms and small local communities before reaching Materuni Waterfalls. Take some time to enjoy the scenery, fresh mountain air and the beautiful waterfall before walking back to the village to discover how coffee is traditionally grown, harvested, prepared and roasted by local farmers. You’ll have the chance to take part in the process and of course, enjoy a freshly prepared cup of Tanzanian coffee.
After the coffee experience, enjoy a fresh local lunch prepared in the village, with time to relax and experience the warm hospitality of the local community. In the Late afternoon we’ll drive you back and drop you off in Moshi, Arusha or Kilimanjaro airport.
Most of this experience takes place around the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro, offering a high chance of enjoying beautiful mountain views and great photography opportunities on clear days.
