Our professional climbing crews will take care of your safety and comfort. Overnight stays are in our walk-in tents (designed by us and customized for Kilimanjaro), the “kitchen” team will surprise you with their cooking skills, and the porters will carry all equipment. The guides will be leading your way, excitedly sharing their knowledge of this amazing Mount.
Pre and post-climb accommodation (included) will be in a hotel in the foothills of Kilimanjaro. Airport transfers included.

Planning perspective
How I’d plan this experience
A six-day Lemosho climb is a serious high-altitude undertaking, not simply a brisk hiking holiday. I’d consider it if you already enjoy regular walking, have at least moderate fitness, and want a guided, supported climb with camping on the mountain. Previous altitude experience may help you acclimatize, but it isn’t presented as essential. The key decision is whether this itinerary’s challenge and length suit you—not whether the crew can make a demanding climb effortless.
Who this climb suits
The trip is aimed at regular hikers or fit travellers ready for a challenge. I’d be cautious about choosing it if you’re hoping to build fitness during the climb: the itinerary describes an initial moderate walk, but that doesn’t make the overall high-altitude effort moderate. Its stated restrictions also matter: it is not recommended for travellers with spinal injuries, pregnancy, or poor cardiovascular health.
You don’t need previous high-altitude experience according to the overview, though it may help with acclimatization. My advice is to treat that as helpful context, not a promise that altitude will be easy. The available traveller feedback repeatedly describes close guide and crew support; that can make the experience feel more supported, but it doesn’t remove the physical demands.
Know what the six-day format means
This is a fixed six-day Lemosho product rather than a menu of route or duration options; the listed guide language is English. I’d choose it if those particulars fit your plans, but I wouldn’t assume you can add rest days or tailor the climb based on the description provided.
The itinerary begins with arrival, a hotel night, and an evening briefing. The following day includes a vehicle journey to the western entrance and an off-road ride to the drop-off point before the walk to Shira 2 Camp. That combination gives you a practical sense of the early logistics: this is not trail walking from the moment you leave the hotel.
Expect camp life, not hotel comforts on the mountain
Two hotel nights are included, while the mountain stay is in shared tents: the stated arrangement is two hikers per tent, except on solo climbs. I’d regard that as an important comfort trade-off. You get a crew setting up camp and preparing meals, but this is still a tent-based climb, not a lodge-to-lodge trek.
The first camp is at 3,500 metres, and the itinerary describes that first high-altitude day as the start of acclimatization. Take the altitude seriously rather than reading the moderate walk as an easy day. On the positive side, several traveller accounts praise the organization and attentive crew; I’d value that support while keeping expectations grounded about what it can—and cannot—change.
Plan for what is not included
Airport pickup and drop-off, ground transportation, two hotel nights, and mountain equipment are listed among the inclusions. Your personal hiking kit is not: boots, clothing, and a sleeping bag are examples, with gear available for hire. Flights, insurance, and optional crew tips are also excluded. I’d sort out equipment and trekking insurance before treating the package as fully ready to go; the listed insurance guidance specifically recommends cover for mountain trekking.
